Ready for deeper work
Develop technique, interpretation, memorization, sight-reading, and performance preparation around repertoire that genuinely matters to you.
A practical process
Progress that fits a real adult schedule
- Clarify the destination. We begin with your experience, interests, available practice time, and what success would feel like.
- Choose focused priorities. Each lesson concentrates on the few musical and technical changes that will make the greatest difference.
- Leave with a workable plan. You receive specific practice priorities designed for the time you actually have, not an imaginary perfect week.
What lessons include
More than learning the correct notes
Adult students often know exactly how they want music to sound but are unsure how to make the instrument respond. Lessons connect your musical intention to efficient physical coordination, better listening, and a repeatable way to solve problems.
Depending on your goals, we can work on classical repertoire, popular arrangements, technique, theory, sight-reading, ear training, improvisation, RCM preparation, or performance confidence. The plan changes as your needs change.
If travel becomes difficult, an in-person student can continue through a live online lesson rather than losing momentum.
Common questions
Adult piano lessons, clearly explained
Am I too old to begin?
No. Adults can make meaningful progress at any age. The pace and materials should match the learner rather than a childhood curriculum.
Do I need to practise every day?
Consistency helps, but the plan should be realistic. Several focused sessions are more useful than occasional long sessions without clear priorities.
What if I feel rusty or embarrassed?
That is common and completely manageable. Lessons start from your current abilities without judgment or unnecessary comparison.
Can adults take RCM exams?
Yes. Exams can provide structure and a motivating milestone, but they are optional. Your program does not need to be exam-based.
